John Peter King
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, John Peter King on October 16, 2023 at the age of 71 years.
He leaves to mourn his siblings Catherine, Jeannie(Glen), Barbara(Kevin), Carl(Sheila), Lawrence(Chris) as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jenny and Anthony King, his sister Brenda, and brothers Edward, Walter and brother-in-law Bill Snell.
Johnny was born on August 3, 1952 in Selkirk, Manitoba.
He grew up on the family farm in East Selkirk with his parents and 7 siblings.
Johnny enjoyed playing his guitar listening to music from some of his favorites, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Most evenings he had the house just vibrating.
He loved spending time with his friends driving his cherry red corvette.
He also enjoyed having fun with his nieces and nephews, telling them stories and sharing memories.
Fishing was one of his passions as well as making bread.
Johnny worked at Manitoba Rolling Mills as a Steelworker.
In his later years, Johnny became the handyman repair technician in his apartment block.
Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will be at a later date.
