Gloria Coumont Obituary
Gloria Maureen Coumont (nee Mowers), 62, of Shoal Lake, Manitoba died in Brandon, Manitoba on October 29, 2024. Gloria was preceded in death by her father Allen, mother Phyllis and nephew James Badgley. Her memory will be cherished by her daughter Michelle Dowbush (Justin); son Ryan (Crystal); grandchildren Serena, Hunter, Kayla and Lucus; sisters Loretta Badgley (Jim), Ann Kehoe (Willard) and Danielle Mowers (Tyler); nieces Amanda, Ashley and Aubreigh; nephews Michael and Owen.
She was born in Sudbury, Ontario in 1962. The Mowers family lived in different towns and cities in Ontario. Gloria met Keith and they were married at Little Britan United Church in Lockport, Manitoba. Gloria and Keith had Michelle in 1985 and Ryan in 1988. Gloria and Keith raised Michelle and Ryan in East St. Paul, Manitoba. Though this relationship wasn’t permanent, Gloria and Keith loved their children very much. Gloria lived in Beausejour, Garson and Winnipeg before finally residing in Shoal Lake, Manitoba.
Everyone who knew Gloria knew how much she loved to spend time with her family. Gloria loved to be a grandmother and treasured her time with her grandchildren. Gloria had a soft spot for her granddogs, treating each and every one like the valuable family member they were. She loved bingo and would attend Tuesday night’s regularly. Gloria loved 1990’s country music although her favorite singer was Loretta Lynn.
Gloria will always be remembered for her caring and kind ways. We will miss Gloria every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 15, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, Manitoba.
