Darlene Mary Mitton (nee Hildebrandt)
June 4, 1957 – November 21, 2023
Our beloved wife, mom and grandma passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home in Selkirk on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at age 66.
Darlene leaves behind her cherished family, John, her husband of 44 years; children Tamara, James (Cory), Julie (Kurtis), and Loralee; daughter-in-law Joanne; and grandchildren Abigail, Alexander, Cassidy, Charlotte, Alexis, Jackson, Adi, and Birdy.
A country-girl at heart, Darlene loved horses and working in her garden. She had a great love for people and worked as a homemaker, social worker, and resource coordinator. She will be remembered by all for her warmth and kindness and above all, her strong faith in her Saviour Jesus.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Home in Selkirk, MB. The service can be watched via the following link youtube.com/live/dlhkQnT-cVo?feature=share. A public graveside service will be held at River Hills Cemetery around 2:15pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Simonhouse Bible Camp, Youth With A Mission Turner Valley Alberta, and Youth for Christ Selkirk.
