Heather Taylor Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Heather Taylor (age 67) passed away peacefully on October 22nd, 2024, at the Portage District General Hospital.
She was born on January 27th, 1957 to Clarence and Edna Smith. Heather worked for 33 years at the Manitoba Developmental Centre as a Communications Assistant. While there, she was involved with the MGEU and the Portage Labour Council.
She leaves to mourn her daughters Christa Orton and Dawne Palmer (Stephen Palmer), grandchildren Ashlei Orton (Justin Robb), Kinley Smoke, Terence Palmer, Khalee Palmer and Beverly Palmer, great grandchildren Addison Robb and Max Robb, and Aurora Palmer, her life partner Denis Champagne, and of course her favorite child Lucy-Lou her pride and joy, and many special friends.
Heather enjoyed collecting Harley Davidson apparel, the occasional rye and water, and playing cards.
“Your presence I miss, your suffering is over, your memory I’ll treasure, loving you always, forgetting you never.”
There will be no services as per her wishes. She would just want you to have a toast or a toke.
