Emma Cameron of Swan Lake First Nation passed away at the Notre Dame Health Centre on September 19, 2024 at the age of 84 years.
She is survived by her children, Doug Martin, Carol Cameron, Joey Martin (Floyd), Curtis (Rhonda) Martin, Annabelle Cameron (Steven), Ivan (Virginia) Martin, Nancy Martin, John (Abby) Martin and daughter-in-law Marlene Martin along with her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Emma was predeceased by her parents Frank and Mary Cameron, by her husband Joe Martin, her son Melvin Martin, her son-in-law Leonard Daniels, her siblings, Alice, Gertrude and Cecil, her parents-in-law, Johnny Martin and Alice Prince and by her brothers and sisters in-law, Maggie (George), Lucy Jane, Nora, Victoria (Jim), Robert Cameron and Doreen (Ed).
Emma loved going to bingo, playing slots, garage sales, hockey-her Jets, thrifting, gardening, and puzzles. She loved to cook and sew for her family. But most of all she loved her children, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren and her great great grandchildren.
A Traditional Wake Service will be held at the Swan Lake First Nation Cultural Centre on Sunday, September 22 2024 at 4 p.m. A Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024 commencing with the feast at 12 noon. Interment will follow at the Indian Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, Errol Cameron, Phil Martin, Robert Martin, Doug Martin-Hobson, Marsel Walker and Terry Martin.
Honorary Pallbearers to be announced.
