Peacefully David Penner passed away May 9, 2024 at the Morris General Hospital at the age of 83 years.
He is survived by his wife Doreen (nee Wall), son Laval (Pam), daughter Shannon (Darryl) Edel, grandchildren: Jeremy, Tyler (Amy), Natasha (Ryan), Gena (Stanley), and Karly, two great grandchildren: Charlotte and Arlo; one sister Anne Dyck, one brother Harry Penner and one sister-in-law Emmy Penner.
David was predeceased by daughter Chantel, his parents Jacob and Agatha Penner, sister Mary (Bill) Martens, brothers: Willy Penner, Jake (Evelyn) Penner and Edward Penner, brother-in-law John Dyck.
David was known as the barber of Morris from 1974 to 2013, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, going camping watching curling or hockey, keeping an immaculate yard and gardening.
The funeral service will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Morris, Manitoba.
A private family burial will take place prior to the funeral service at the Lowe Farm Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held at Morris Funeral Home, on Wednesday and Thursday, May 15th and 16th from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The family wishes to thank the Boundary Trails Hospital and Morris General Hospital for their excellent and compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Northern Canada Evangelical Mission.
