Obituary of Martha Anne Moffat
When you are reading this, you will know I’ve slipped my earthly bonds and am at peace.
Life if beautiful and I have had the time and opportunity to enjoy it’s many gifts: the wonders of nature, gardening, travel, literature, beach walks, music, friends and winters in Mexico. At the heart of it has always been the love of my beautiful family, who gave me constant joy.
Twenty five years as a teacher at Rockwood and Chancellor gave me the joy of watching children grow and develop, meet wonderful parents and colleagues who became life long friends.
I leave to mourn my passing, my best friend and husband, Tom of fifty-plus years; precious children, Lisa (Darrel), Ian (Sabrina); and dearest grandson Ben. Left to remember me as well are my siblings Ed (Connie) Wieler, Jake (Debbie) Wieler, Carol Sylvester, Kathy (Eldon) Smith, Nancy (Randy) McFarlane; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend Valli.
Cremation has taken place and in accordance with my wishes, there will be no formal service.
Heartfelt thanks to Nurse Shawna, Dr. Daeninck, Dr. Ogaranko, and the kind and compassionate treatment team at the Buhler Cancer Center. If friends so desire, a donation to the Center or CancerCare would be deeply appreciated.
