Obituary of Jerry Arnold Sysak
Following a lengthy illness, Jerry Sysak passed away at Grace Hospital on September 25, 2023 at the age of 72 years.
Jerry is survived by Pat, his wife of 50 years; his sons Jared, Greg (Kendrah), and Brad; his brother Bill (Linda) and their family; and his brother-in-law Bill Burnell (Heather) of Vernon BC.
In accordance with Jerry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
Jerry was born in Winnipeg. He worked for CP Rail for 36 years, retiring in 2006.
Jerry was extremely proud of his three sons. Jerry and the boys spent many happy hours skiing, snowmobiling, camping, fishing, golfing, and riding dirt bikes. When not enjoying the outdoors, they could be found in the garage, tinkering with some sort of motorized contraption.
Jerry was much adored by the numerous family pets, as he could always be relied on to provide a forbidden treat when he thought no one was watching.
Following his retirement, Jerry and Pat spent as much time as they could fishing, taking the dogs on adventures and exploring rural areas of southern Manitoba.
Jerry will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends.
