Obituary of Carey Jonathan Leslie Pauls
Carey Jonathan Leslie Pauls, a beloved son, partner, brother, and friend, passed away on July 4, 2024, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
He was born on April 28, 1961, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, and adopted by Hilda and Adolph Pauls.
Carey was predeceased by his infant sister, Elaine Anaquad, and his father, Adolph.
Carey will be lovingly remembered by his mother Hilda Pauls; his partner; Mavis; his sisters Judy (Clarence), Angela (Michael) and Laurie; his brother Ken; numerous nieces and nephews; and other family members. His passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Carey was known for his kind and compassionate nature and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His generosity and compassion left a lasting impact on friends who knew and loved him. His selfless nature was evident in his volunteer work in a community garden. He loved reading, and this was shown in his rich vocabulary and the joy he found in exploring different worlds through literature.
In his final months, Carey received exceptional care and understanding from the staff at Health Sciences Centre. The family is immensely grateful.
