Carmen Houle Obituary
Carmen Mary Houle (nee Malcolm) of Ebb and Flow First Nation passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the age of 60 years.
Carmen was born May 16, 1964 in Ste. Rose du Lac, MB.
Carmen leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many fond memories; her husband of 35 years Emile Houle, her son Scott (Tanya), her grandchildren Jasmine, Jastin, Jessa, Jenna, Tessa, Scott Jr, Jayla, Jaxson, Sanchez, Slater, her 2 great grandchildren Daizy and Dreystin and the mother of her grandchildren Deanna with whom Carmen was always close, her sisters Sheila, Paulette and her brother Darrel, her aunties Doris Flatfoot, Lillian Starr, and Violet McKay, her uncles Ernest (Charlotte) and Russell (Margaret), her nieces Aline, Chelsey (Nelson) and Georgia, her nephews Ryan, Ricky, CJ, Trenton (Justine), and Daniel, her great nieces Alla-Jay. Rikki, Rylin, Rayla, Renee, Shayla, Destiny, Natalia, Novaleigh, Amelia, and Ally and her great nephews Brayden, Starsun, Creesun, Creeden, Nelson Jr, River, Abel, & Benny, her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Marie, Sylvia, Richard, Gertrude, Cecil, John (Francine), Lillian, Lisa (Tim), Joanne (Darrell) & Morene, Lloyd along numerous extended family members and many friends.
Carmen was predeceased by her parents Geordie and Leona Malcolm, her sisters Darlene, Carol and Maureen, and her daughter Allison Dawn, her in-laws Theresa and Emile Houle Sr, her brothers-in-law Ralph, Danny and Marty and her sisters-in-law Karen and Eileen.
Carmen was also known as “Carm” to most people who knew her. She was a very loving, caring humourous woman who loved to make people laugh and enjoyed spending time with her family. Carm enjoyed playing bingo and cards with her family and friends. It broke our hearts to lose her to a condition so completely unforseen, but we know that she is no longer suffering or in pain.
Wake and Prayer Services will begin at 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 30, 2024 from the Emile Houle residence, 211 Lake Road South, Ebb and Flow First Nation. Family and friends wishing to escort Carmen home are asked to meet at 4:00 pm on Sunday at Sneath-Strilchuk’s Ste. Rose Chapel in Ste. Rose du Lac, MB
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024 at 1:00 pm from the Emile Houle residence, 211 Lake Road South, Ebb and Flow First Nation.
Interment in the Ebb and Flow Cemetery.
