Shirley was a cherished and chosen daughter of Harry and Dorothy Macfarlane, the youngest sibling to Allan, Garth and Joan. Her love of the Souris River Valley ran deep and she would spend the decades of her life enjoying its beauty. As a young woman she accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal Saviour. She married Brian Miller of Arborfield in 1967. They spent their early years in Yorkton before moving back to the valley in 1975 and then into Carnduff in 1980. Shirley was a wonderful homemaker, she was creative and her hands were always busy. She took great pleasure in gardening and being outside. She delighted in her children and grandchildren. They brought her so much joy and their well being was always her greatest concern. Brian and Shirley loved being together enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Spontaneous trips on the open road and exploring new places. A highlight was traveling coast to coast on their Gold Wing.
