Peacefully and surrounded by family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday October 5, 2024 the death occurred of Lloyd Leonard Shepherd of Charlottetown, age 89 years. Loving father of Lyle (Karen), Leonard (Michelle), Lynn MacDonald (Stephen), Karen McGuigan (Ivan), Todd and Trent (Karen). Cherished by grandchildren Michael Shepherd (Amy), Rebecca Shepherd (Darren), Amy MacDonald (Lindon), Derek Corrigan (Rebecca), Leah Corrigan (Nick), TJ Shepherd (Catherine), Kaitlind Shepherd, Nick Shepherd, Bria Shepherd and Nathan Molyneaux. Also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Brother of Earl (Carol) and Bonnie Baynes. Predeceased by his wife Erma (Gallant); his son Lindsay and siblings Benny, Mary, Deli, Ralph, Frank, Helen, Jack and Eddie. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford for visiting hours on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 4-7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday October 9, 2024 from St Pius X Parish at 10 am. Interment will take place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made online to the Provincial Palliative Care Centre or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
