Peacefully and surrounded with her loving family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown on Monday, March 18, 2024, Leta Lavers-Carter of Pownal, passed away at the age of 75 years.
Beloved wife of Sidney “Sid” Carter and loving mother of Laurie (Ian) LeClair and James Carter. Cherished grandmother of Carter, Connor (Sarah) and Bryanna (Daniel). Loved by cousins Judy (Ken) Campbell and Rick Hipperson, sister-in-law Peggy (Rosser) Bruce and brothers-in-law Wayne (Barb) Carter and Allen Crockett. Predeceased by her parents Theodore “Buster” and Helen (Howard) Lavers, her sisters Wilma Crockett and Gail (Alan) Brady and cousin-in-law Gail Hipperson.
Resting at the Hillsboro Funeral Home. No visiting hours by personal request. Funeral service will be held at St. Andrews United Church, Vernon Bridge on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 11:00 am.
Memorial donations may be made online to the Salvation Army or the Upper Room Food Bank.
Interment will take place at a later date at the Alexandra Baptist Church Cemetery.
