Born in Stratford, PEI. November,12th 1941. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Winnifred McCarron of Southport, PEI. Lived in Amherst, N.S. raising family and employed at Dorchester Penitentiary, a stint of long-haul trucking, followed by Hostess Potato Chip Company which is an embedded favourite memory among the nieces and nephews during childhood years. Later Donnie was the owner/operator of Fabrizone Cleaning Systems.
Generous to a fault he always had a soft spot for anyone that had less then he did. He would give you his last dollar if you got close enough to him. He loved to play and watch Hockey and frequently sported a Toronto Leafs jersey given the chance. He spent many an hour puttering about his hobby farm caring for the animals, whether it was kittens, chickens, a cow or two, geese, a goat or bunny rabbits. It was his joy to be outside with them sipping on a beer. Both he and Linda loved to spend time with their grand children. Donnie was a devoted husband, caring for Linda till the end. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Nova Scotia Alzheimer’s Association (www.alzheimer.ca/ns/en/take-action/donate) or a similar local cause.
