Peacefully and surrounded by love at Andrews of Stratford on Monday, November 4, 2024 the death occurred of Bernadette “Bernie” Koughan (Fitzpatrick), formerly of Donagh, age 90 years.
Loving mother of Willie (Anne), Anne Marie Arsenault (Carl), Mervyn (Theresa), David (Jackie), Shirley Macdonald (Allison) Arlene Powers (Deryck), Kevin (Lorna) and Matt (Michele). Cherished grandmother of 26 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Bernie will be remembered with love by her siblings Thelma MacDonald and Leonard (Anne) Fitzpatrick and her many nieces and nephews. Sister in law of Myrtle Fitzpatrick, Florence McNally and Rita McGuirk. Predeceased by her parents John and Winnifred (McNally) Fitzpatrick, husband William “Bill” Koughan, daughter Kathy Gaudet and siblings Erna, Kay, Milton, Edward, Eleanor, Josephine and Laura.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home for visitation on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 am from the St. Patrick’s Church, Fort Augustus. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made online to St. Patrick’s Cemetery Fund.
