The death occurred at Prince County Hospital,
Summerside on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 of Verna Eleanor MacLeod, of
Victoria West, aged 94 years, beloved wife of the late Ramsay MacLeod.
Born in Birch Hill on January 2, 1930, daughter of the late Ralph and
Mabel (Day) Ellands.
Cherished mom to Linda (Fred) Pike, Saint John , N.B.; James
(Cindy), Summerside; Brian (Carole), Shediac River, N.B.; Douglas
(Janet), Victoria West; Kathy (Scott) Cooling, Northam; Melissa
(Bryan) MacAusland, Victoria West and daughter in law Paula Martin
(Ray Cameron). Loving grandmother to 16 grandchildren and 37 great
grandchildren. Verna is also survived by her sister Marilla Millar,
Ellerslie, brother in law Leaman MacLeod, Victoria West and by the
many foster children she had the pleasure of nurturing over the 22
years Verna and her husband Ramsay were foster parents.
Predeceased by her parents, husband Ramsay, son David,
brother Clarence, brother in law Peter Millar and Aunt Muriel
Ellands.
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, Tyne Valley with
visiting hours Thursday from 5-7p.m. Funeral will be held on Friday at
Victoria West Presbyterian Church at 1:00p.m.
Interment
will follow in Victoria West Peoples Cemetery.
