The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside on
Sunday, November 17, 2024 of Margaret “Peggy” Anne Broome of
East Bideford aged 70, loving wife of Kenny Broome. Peggy was born in
Alberton on March 5, 1954, daughter of the late Wilson &
Georgina (MacMillan) Wells.
Cherished mom to Polly (John) Rice, Grandriver; Barry
(Elisa), Summerside; Kelly (Joseph) Perry, Lot 16 Belmont and Ryan
(Kayla), Springhill. Loving grandmother to John Paul “JP”,
Georgia (Ben), Emma, Olivia, Tyson, Dawson, Dylan, Colby, Cameron ,
Brooklynn and step grandchild Lakeishia, great grandson JJ, step great
grandchildren Bryson and Blakely.
Dear sister to Paula Gaugan, Kevin Wells, Bruce Wells, sister
in law to Donnie (Heather) Broome, Louie (Barb) Broome, Mary Clements
(Roger DesRoches) and Blair Campbell
Peggy was predeceased by her parents, siblings June Wells,
Helen (Reigh) Ford, Carol (Peter) Coughlin, Betty Campbell, brothers
in law Emile Gaugan and “Sonny” Richard Broome (Gloria,
Patricia, Phyllis), father & mother in law Bud and Daisy
Broome, nieces and nephews Michael Ford, Phillip Arsenault, Peter
Wells, Tracy Broome and Harriett Broome.
Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting
hours Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Funeral service on Thursday
at the Bideford-Conway United Church, Bideford at 11 am.
Interment in the Bideford United Church Cemetery.
