The death occurred at his home on Wednesday January 2, 2024
of Leonard Scott Bridges of Conway, aged 59 years, beloved husband of
Darlene (nee Gillis). Leonard was born in Summerside, son of the late
Henry and Agatha (Malone) Bridges.
Loving Father to Julie Gillis, Summerside; Ryan Gillis,
Charlottetown; Joey Gillis (Jessica), Bideford and Nathan Gillis,
Conway. Special Grampie to Chloe Warren, Laila & Alia Banks
and Kane Gillis.
Dear brother to Iva Everett, Bernetta Reeves, Doreen
Dupère, Trudy Matheson, Albert (Sondra) Bridges, Leo
(Nanci) Bridges, Joyce (Allie) Dean, Genevieve (John)
Wilson.
Leonard is also survived by his brothers and sisters in law
Norm Brown, Gwendy Bridges, Lucia Bridges, Wilfred (Patty) Gillis,
Audrey Gillis, Lorne (Ruth) Gillis, Eric (Janel) Gillis, Alan (Clara)
Gillis and Brenda (Randy) Wilson. Loving remembered by numerous nieces
and nephews.
Leonard is predeceased by his parents, brothers Harold,
Justin, Kenny and Ricky Bridges, sister Diane Brown, infant siblings
Joseph and Edward Bridges, brothers in-law Warren Gillis, Bruce Reeves
and Rudolphe Dupère, father and mother in-law Raymond
& Ruby Gillis.
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel,
O’Leary with visiting hours Monday from 4-7 pm. Funeral
service on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment later in St.
Brigid’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Foxley
River.
