The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside,
Sunday, May 26, 2024 of Eliza “Jenette” Dawson, of
Summerside formerly of Poplar Grove aged 86, beloved wife of the late
Arthur Dawson. Jenette was born in Conway on Jan 23, 1938, daughter of
the late Ruskin & Annie (Phillips) Banks.
Cherished mom to Lynda Wagner (George Gallant). Loving
grandmother to twin granddaughters Nadine (Judy) and Nicole (Chuck)
and great grandmother to Melody, Mila, Raya and
Rory.
Jenette is also survived by Nicole and Nadine’s dad, Leonard,
sisters Clara MacKenzie and Shirley Wagner, brothers Otto, Ron
(Betty), Lloyd (Violet) brothers & sisters in law Freda
Banks.
Jenette was predeceased by her parents Ruskin &
Annie, husband Arthur (July 27, 2019), brothers Billy, Cecil, brothers
& sisters in law – Lloyd (Ella) Jelly, Leone Banks, Don
MacKenzie and friend Robert Matheson.
Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel, with private
family visiting by personal request. Public funeral on Thursday in the
Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the Bideford United Church
Cemetery followed by a reception for family and friends in the
Bideford-Conway United Church Hall.
