The death occurred peacefully at Beach Grove Home in Charlottetown on January 14, 2024 of Rose Trainor (nee McKenna), formerly of St. Teresa aged 89 years. Survived by her children, Geraldine Hughes (Paul), Michael Trainor (Maureen), Sharon Trainor, David Trainor (Katrina), and Lisa Trainor. Loving Mama Rose to her grandchildren, Rachel, Emily, and Amanda Hughes; Nathan, Ava, Mollie and Anna Trainor; and Samantha and Colby MacLean. She will be also dearly missed by her sister-in-law, Marjorie Gillan as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Gerard; her parents, Wilfred and Doretta McKenna; and siblings, Mary, James, Margaret, Andrew, Joan, Alice and Harry. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home (2 Hollis Ave, Stratford) for visitation on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 4 -7 p.m. Funeral mass to be held at St. Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Teresa, on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rose’s memory may be made to Alzheimer Society of PEI. Online condolences may be sent to the family by emailing northshorefh02@gmail.com.
