It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing
of Sandra Marie McCourt (nee Hamill), on Sept. 26, 2024. Born on June
4, 1948 to the late Beryl and James Hamill of Middleton, PEI. Wife of
Tony Richard. Mother of Kim McCourt (Peter), Michelle McCourt, Tammy
Kerwin (Ryan), Jeff McCourt (Grace), stepsons Shaun Richard and Jason
Richard (Renee). Loving grandmother to Liam, Ben, Cade, Finn, Avery,
Jane, Molly and Claire. Step grandmother to Hannah and Emma Richard.
Sister of CarolAnne Edwards (David), Milly Hamill (Tom)and
sister-in-law to Bernice and Laurie DesRoches, Roger and Louise
Richard, Julian and Gloria Richard, Louie and Donald Richard, Janet
and Wayne Quigley, Eunice and Roch Vachon, David and Lori Richard,
Paul and Julia Richard, George Richard, Ray and Wendy McCourt, Shirley
McCourt, Paul Hagan and Dennis James. She is survived by many nieces
and nephews. Sandra was predeceased by her parents and step-father Jim
Lawless, her brothers James and Paul Hamill; sisters, Roberta Pauptit,
Valerie Hamill-James, and Phyllis Hamill. Also predeceased by the
father of her four children, Clifford McCourt and brothers-in-law
Edwin McCourt, Errol Pauptit, Emmauel and Raymond
Richard.
Funeral will be held at St. Malachy’s Roman
Catholic church, Kinkora, on Wednesday, Oct 2 , at 10:30
a.m. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemtery. Donations
in Sandra’s memory made be mailed to St. Malachy’s
Cemetery Fund, P 0 Box 128, Kinkora, PE, C0B 1N0. Arrangements
entrusted to Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora.
