It is with great sadness that
we announce the death of Mary Eileen Ryan (nee Aylward), which
occurred peacefully, surrounded by family, on February 16, 2024, in
Charlottetown, PEI. Eileen was formally of Tignish. She was born on
November 2, 1951, to Ira and Elsie (nee Christopher)
Aylward, who will be waiting for her in heaven with loving and open
arms, along with her sister, Shirley (Feehan), her brothers that died
in infancy, and five brothers-in-law.
She is survived by her
sisters, Joyce (Doucette), Barbara (Gaudet), Joan (MacDougall), Betty
(Alan Bouchard), and Linda (Patrick Gavin), and her daughters, Trudy
Read (Jason), Natalie Ryan (Clayton Maddix), and Crystal Ryan (Clinton
Peters). She is also lovingly remembered by her 11 grandchildren,
three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and
nephews.
Resting peacefully at the
Rooney Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February
21st, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., with funeral Mass at the St. Simon and
St. Jude Church on Thursday, February 22nd, at 10:30 a.m. Rev.John
Molina celebrant. Interment later in the church
cemetery.
Donations in Mary Eileen’s
memory can be made to Unit 5 at the Hillsborough Hospital in
Charlottetown, PEI.
