The death occurred peacefully, and surrounded by love, at his
home in Cascumpec, PEI, of Henry Elmer Wallace, aged 91 years. Born in
Brooklyn, PEI, on February 3, 1933, he was the son of the late Elmer
and Lela (Leard) Wallace. Predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years,
Velma (Jean) (nee MacArthur) Wallace.
Loving father to Susan (Ron) Flynn, of Alberton, Donald
(Karen), of Brooklyn, and Nora (John) Wallace Cahill, of Cascumpec.
Cherished grandfather to Bradley, AJ, Hannah, and Diana, and
great-grandfather to Millie.
Dear brother to Helen (Allan) Wallace, sister-in-law to Betty
(late Billy) Wallace, brothers-in-law, Roy (Ida) MacArthur, Ralph
(June) MacArthur, sisters-in-law, Norma (Ralph) MacArthur, and Carolyn
Rayner (deceased). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and
friends.
Henry was predeceased by his sister, Reta (Alden) Gamble, and
infant brother, Lloyd, and his cherished fur baby,
“Sophie”.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton.
Visiting hours to be held Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 1:00 to 2:30
p.m., followed by the funeral at the E Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel,
at 3 p.m., Rev Betty Zita officiating. Interment later at the Church
of the Nazarene Cemetery, Elmsdale.
If so desired, memorials in Henry’s name may be made to the
Prince County Hospital or the West Prince Caring
Cupboard.
Following the funeral everyone is invited to the Elmsdale
Church of the Nazarene Fellowship Hall for a reception.
