The death of Derwin Clayton (Gary) Bowness (Grace Pollard),
occurred peacefully at North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, NFLD, on
September 25, 2024, at the age of 69. Born March 29, 1955, in
Alberton, PEI, he was the eldest son of the late Keith and the late
Blanche (Mountain) Bowness. Brother to Debbie, Brian (Nora), Kendall
(Darlene), Arlene, and Laurie.
In addition to Grace, left to mourn his passing are his
daughters, April (Dave), and Chantal (Lara), grandchildren, Jack,
Abigail, and Nash.
Cremation has taken place and cremains forwarded from Gordon
Woolfrey Funeral Home, Lewisporte, NFLD, to Rooney Funeral Home and
Chapel, for graveside service later in the summer of 2025, at the
Montrose United Church Cemetery.
The Bowness and Pollard families greatly appreciate the care
and support provided to Derwin by the North Haven Manor staff, nurses,
doctors, and social worker. Also, to Rev. Paula Gale for her visit and
prayers. To the staff at Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, our sincere
appreciation for the assistance and guidance provided to both Debbie
and Grace during this time.
