On Wednesday, August 28, 2024 Dragan Pavlicic passed away peacefully at the age of 92 years. Dragan will be lovingly remembered by his son Kruno (Suzan) and sister Dragica. Dragan was predeceased by his wife Ljubica (nee Grcic), parents, Marija and Mile, sister Milka and brothers Vlado and Marko. Deda Dragan will also be forever remembered by grandchildren, Brian (Juna), Christopher, and Melissa (Taylor); numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends both in Canada and Croatia. Dragan had a special bond with his great grandson, Milo, who shares his birthday. They brought joy and delight to each other’s lives.
Born in Salopek Selo, Croatia, Dragan has lived in Victoria since coming to Canada with his family in 1969. He was hard working and a good provider. As a finishing carpenter he enjoyed solving problems and coming up with inventive solutions. He had a kind soul yet he possessed great inner strength and strong convictions. He loved playing bocce ball with his fellow churchgoers. He enjoyed playing a few rounds of cards with family and friends, and when alone he could immerse himself in a game of solitaire.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 11, at 1 PM at St Leopold Mandic Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park.
A reception follows at St Leopold Mandic Catholic Church after the burial. We will enjoy food, drink, and celebrate Dragan’s life. We hope to see you there.
