July 22, 1947 – September 8, 2024
Surrounded by the love of his family, Andy passed away peacefully with his loving wife Barb, holding his hand and his favourite music playing in the background on September 8th, 2024 at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
Born in Scotland, Andy emigrated to Canada at the age of 4 with his parents and siblings, eventually settling in Surrey, BC. It was there that Andy met and married his high school sweetheart, started working in aviation and where his two children were born.
Andy was a wonderful husband, great Dad, and amazing Grandpa. He leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Barb, son Jamie (Cindy), daughter Angie (Dave), grandchildren Ashley (Chris), Matt (Chelsea), Zi, Desiree (Kyler) and Logan, and great-grandchildren Blaine, Arianna & Keira with another great-grandchild due in December.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration will be held to honour his life next Spring.
In his memory, a donation can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation or if you are able, please donate blood with Canadian Blood Services.
