Alexis MacDonald Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we have to announce the passing of Alexis Letitia MacDonald on the morning of November 4, 2024 at the age of 82. Alexis peacefully passed on to be with her sons, grandchildren, sisters and son-in-law.
Alexis was born September 22, 1942 in Vancouver BC. She was so proud to call herself a military brat, having moved from base to base as a young girl. Alexis loved to tell stories about the time she spent with her beloved Granny. Alexis went on to have eight children, Kimena Girling, Phillip Ranks (March 9, 2008), Linda Barber, James Myttenor (November 8, 2015), Melonie Martel, Starlene Gorray, Sherish MacDonald and Roy MacDonald. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. As well as her siblings, nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends. She will be forever missed and never forgotten.
Alexis loved to drive and would always say she felt most free when her hands were wrapped around a steering wheel. The destination never mattered. She was feisty, funny, sassy and not afraid to playfully threaten to smack a you.
Lubba Lubba you so much!!
Thank you to her friends at Rotary Gardens, Dr. Goldberg and the amazing nurses at Shuswap Lake General Hospital. Thank you also to Cassie and Kevin from Bowers Funeral Home, for all your help and support.
