Obituary of William John Moore
William (Bill) John Moore, born in Prince George BC on June 26th, 1948, passed away on November 27th, 2023, at home with his loving children at his side; Sherman, Alecsis and Kyle
Bill was born to Rhoda (Howells) Moore and Percival Moore and raised in Prince George and Quesnel, British Columbia. He grew up with four siblings, older sisters Geri Pinchbeck and Ellaine Botterill and younger sister Sherry Moore and youngest brother Kenneth Moore who passed early in childhood. The Moore family moved to Quesnel in 1952 where Bill’s dad Percival bought a sawmill, it was operated in the Jack Pine Flat area. Wayne Petty, Hired Bill when he was sixteen years old as a sawyer at 2×4 Stud Mill in Quesnel. Bill then became one of the best Sawyers in British Columbia or even Canada during his lengthy career.
In and around 1968, Bill Married Evelynn Moffatt and they had two Children William (Billy) John Moore III and Jackie Moore. Billy passed in on March 14th, 2005, he had five loving children, William Orey Forsythe, Ryan Moore, Mikaela (Moore) Davis, Decoa Moore and William (Will) Moore IV.
Bill met Gloria Brown, they were together from 1972 to 1998. Shortly after their first child was born, Sherman Moore, they moved to Prince George in 1973. In 1974, the happy couple moved to Anzac and were married. While living in Anzak, their daughter Alecsis Moore was born in Prince George. In 1976, the mill had closed in Anzak. The Moore family moved to Princeton BC, where they had their second son, Kyle Moore.
Bill absolutely loved the outdoors and spent most of his time with his family fishing, hunting and was always digging for Gold. Not only was he a marksman shooter with gun he was also a very highly skill Pool player wining several championships around the province of British Columbia.
Dad will always be remember by…..

“Dad really loved the summer months because he always had the nicest tanned legs and wore nice short shorts to show them off, he was always dressed so sharp” ~ Kyle
“Dad has always been there for me to talk to, support me even though I have not lived in Canada for most of my adult life. He absolutely hated to fly….but I managed to get him to fly a few times to California and of course his two fabulous trips to New Zealand. I only wish he had more time to come to Australia to visit the family” ~ Alecsis
Hunter, Dad’s German Short haired pointer (HunnnnterBoy), was dad’s best friend for many years and has been by his side every single day for all the adventures. Killing and Hunting birds, chasing deer and just hanging around and growing old with his Dad. Hunter is now 14 and will remain with Sherman
Bill will be lovingly remember by his:

Grandchildren: Alexander Mervyn, Kia Lockyer, Kenzie Lockyer, Toa Moore, Chance Moore, Mia Moore, Bryshin Moore-Young, Brytton Girand, Ellie Davis and Weston Davis

Bill Was predeceased by his:
Brother Kenneth Moore, Father Percival Moore, Mother Rhoda Moore, Son William Moore, Grandson Ryan Moore, Niece Tanya Petty and Niece Kendra Petty.
