Obituary of Alice Watt
Alice Watt, born on June 9, 1940, in Holland, passed away on November 9, 2023, in Quesnel, British Columbia. She was 83 years old.
Alice’s family home was damaged during World War II, and the family fled to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. They ran a farm in Alberta until Alice moved to Vancouver, where she met her first husband, Kurt Malli and their first child, Robert.
A few years later, they moved to Germany, where Kurt and John were born. After a while, the entire family packed up and moved back to Canada with their three young children and settled in Maple Ridge, BC. Sylvia was born in Maple Ridge before Alice and Kurt separated.
Alice met Bob Voll, and they moved to the Canadian wilderness and operated a guide outfitter company together for 20 years, until Bob passed of Lou Gehrig’s disease. Alice then moved to Powell River and later met and married Tom Watt. Alice spent the last three years of her life living in Quesnel with her son Kurt.
Alice is survived by her two children, Kurt and Sylvia, and four grandchildren. She is joining her other two children who passed before her.
Alice will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, love of nature, and dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
