David Leroy Swick Obituary
With broken hearts, we share the passing of our dad, David Leroy Swick, husband, grandpa, great grandpa, uncle, and brother. Dave passed away peacefully after battling Parkinson’s and dementia at Haven Hill in the early evening of January 27, 2024.
He is survived by his loving wife Sarah of 58 years, 4 children Diane (Al) McCullough, Donna (Scott) Crawford, Charles, and David Swick, as well as 6 grandchildren Nicole (Kyle) Giesbrecht, Cassidy (Ryan) Watt, Dylan and Wyatt Crawford, Kaitlyn, and Sophie Swick and 1 great grandchild Logan and many more loved ones.
Dave was a well-known face of the community of Summerland through the arena and his family restaurant Dairy Treat (1987-1998). Then retired to Penticton in 2004.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff of Haven Hill for their compassionate care.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Summerland Baptist Church’s Fireside Room on February 24 from 1-3 pm.
In lieu of flowers a small donation to the Parkinson Society BC would be appreciated.
