Allan Howard Formo Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allan Formo, beloved father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, at the age of 58. Allan grew up in Naramata and Penticton and never left the beautiful Okanagan area, where he worked as a painter for over 25 years. He loved the outdoors and life at his cabin on Link Lake with his rescue dog, Isaiah, where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and socializing with his many friends. Allan was very passionate about his work through Celebrate Recovery, and his love for Jesus was unending.
He is survived by his daughter Courtney Hest and her husband Cole, his granddaughter Josie Hest, his father Al Formo Sr., his mother Judy Bateman and her husband Bob, his sister Tami Serpa and her children, his bonus siblings Jill Bateman (Jeff Griffiths), Brooke (Katherine) Bateman and their families, and his special friend Ann Wahlen. Allan had the most infectious laugh that lit up every room, and he will be very greatly missed by so many.
A celebration of Allan’s life will be held on Saturday, July 13th 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Salvation Army Church, 2469 South Main St. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Salvation Army or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
