Wayne Douglas Middleton of Agassiz, BC passed away April 24, 2024 in Chilliwack, BC. Wayne was born in Morris, MB on April 1, 1946 and was the only child of Daniel Allois Middleton and Lydia Elizabeth Hirschfeldt Middleton Menken of Yorkton, SK.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and favorite uncle Theodore “Uncle Ted” Hirschfeldt. He is survived by his wife Kathy Kincaid Middleton; two daughters Tara Lee Middleton of Ft. St. John, BC and Tannis Lee Irving (David) of Stony Plain, AB; four grandchildren Luke & Elizabeth Weissbach and Alexander & Andrew Irving; two step daughters Leah Kincaid and Amie Hickey; four step grandchildren Brittany, Banner, Marissa and Donovan; eight step great grandchildren Kaden, Rylie, Lexi, Brantley, Lillian, Hadley, Mateo and Daniel.
Wayne grew up in Yorkton SK graduating from Yorkton High School. He attended the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana before enlisting in the Canadian Navy in 1966 becoming a Supply Technician 911. In 1979 he was injured and medically discharged. Wayne graduated from Trinity Western University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in History with an Education Minor. He attended CDI College of Business & Technology taking courses in Computerized Accounting and Wakinyan Career College taking Accounting and Bookkeeping courses. He did substitute teaching, worked as a shipper/receiver and finally as an accountant until retiring in 2005.
Wayne met Kathy Kincaid of Bellingham, WA in April 1994. They had 30 wonderful years together and lived the last 19 years of their married life in Agassiz, BC. Wayne was actively involved and a member of Central Community Church in Agassiz, BC.
Wayne enjoyed hunting and camping with his family in his younger years. Wayne and Kathy enjoyed camping, cruises to Alaska and traveling. Wayne’s hobby was woodworking Intarsia in which he excelled. All his family have enjoyed receiving some of his Intarsia work. The last couple of years, as he was unable to get around because of his MSA, he enjoyed reading Spiritual books and his Bible. Wayne loved watching Western movies, War films, Biblical shows with his favorite TV show NCIS!
There will be a Celebration of Life for Wayne Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Central Community Church, 514 Lillooet Avenue, Harrison Hot Springs, BC from 1 pm to 3 pm.
