Maple Ridge, BC – Thomas (Tom) A. Halliday (85), born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, passed away on June 8th, 2024. He fought a fierce battle with multiple myeloma in the last several years of his life hoping to have more time with those he loved. He is now at peace with our Lord and Savior.
Survived by his loving wife, Trudy (Gertrude) Halliday; children Trevor Halliday (Joanne), Kevin Halliday (Shelley), Heather Halliday (Brad Copland) and Troy Halliday (Melinda); seven grandchildren, Ashley Halliday, Karlee Job (Ryan), Joshua Phillips, Forrest Halliday (Mikayla), Faith Phillips, Jayden Halliday and Nathan Halliday; three great grandchildren, Lochlan Job, Stirling Job, and baby Halliday; step grandchildren, Justin McIntyre (Rafaela), Chantelle McIntyre, Brooke McIntyre and Noah Copland; step great grandchildren, Laila McIntyre and Jakob McIntyre.
Tom worked hard to make life easier for his family. Tom proudly owned and operated his own business, Tom’s Concrete Pumping, for many years, and was grateful to work alongside his sons in the business. He made many business connections who often became friends. Tom was a loyal husband, father, grandfather, and friend with a caring and generous heart. He loved his many dogs, his coffee, and his pick-up trucks. He also loved his jokes and making people laugh, which he did until the end.
Rest in peace dad, pops, grandpa, Tom, Tommy.
A celebration of life will take place in Maple Ridge, BC (date to be determined). A graveside service will be held later this summer in Broderick, Saskatchewan, where Tom will be buried.
In lieu of flowers please consider giving to a cancer foundation of your choice or to Ridge Meadows Hospice Society, where Tom spent his final days.
