Write a Tribute
It is with great sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Robert William McKitrick. Our world is forever changed.
Bob passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at home after fighting an unrelenting battle with Parkinson’s Disease for over 20 years.
His wife, Winnie, lost her husband, best friend and life partner of 55 years.
Bob’s daughter, Karen, and Bob’s son, Kelly, lost an amazing dad. His grandchildren, Brandon and Connor, had the opportunity to grow up with their Poppa cheering them on. Bob also leaves behind his sister, Sue, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bob worked as a residential contractor who designed and built many beautiful homes in the lower mainland.
Bob was an Honorary Pitt Meadows Firefighter and served his community for many years.
Bob loved fishing and the outdoors, family time, traveling, all sports and playing cards. Bob had the heart of a warrior who loved his family. He loved a good story and always wanted you to make the best of everything. Bob always worked hard no matter what. Bob was always brave and knew he was loved and will be in our hearts and minds until the end of time.
We will miss you so much.
