Pamela Mary Renzi Obituary
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Pamela Mary Renzi on December 5, 2024, at the age of 81. She passed away peacefully with her two children by her side at Kelowna General Hospital.
Pam was born a twin to her sister Sandra in Warrington, England, who tragically died of a brain tumour at the age of 11. To honour her loss, she pursued a life of purpose, strength and compassion. She graduated from Newcastle Teacher’s College and emigrated to Canada in 1968 to work for the Toronto District School Board. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Toronto, her Bachelor of Education from York University and a Masters in Education at Niagara University. In 1998, after 30 years of teaching, she retired and made the big move across the country to start a new chapter in Kelowna.
Pam immediately became an active community member, organizing fundraisers and charity events and mentoring young people. She received two Certificates of Appreciation for her generous contribution and support in the development of Ben Lee Park in Rutland and was awarded the honor of Local Hero from the Multicultural Society of Kelowna. In her most recent years, she wrote, published and distributed her children’s book ‘A Global Christmas’ and her happiness book of simple life moments called ‘A Little Bit of Heaven Is…’
Pam had a passion for creativity, an unforgettable sense of humor and a generous spirit. Forever in our hearts, she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her two children, Lisa (Wade) and Robert (Catherine), and her grandchildren, Lucas and Blake.
A service will be held at St Pius X Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 11:00 am.
