Marie Labiuk, Anna’s much beloved mother, departed this life on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the age of 81. She is now joyfully reunited with most of her family, including her late husband, Boris Labiuk, who passed away in 1998, and her son, Terrance Labiuk, who departed in 2016. Marie’s memory will forever live on in the heart of her loving daughter, Ann Marie “Anna.”
During her remarkable life, Marie served as a dedicated Brown Owl Leader for the Brownies in the 1970s, imparting her wisdom and guidance to young minds. She was not only a nurturing leader but also a very accomplished musician. Her soprano voice was exceptional, and she had the potential to grace the stages of orchestras with her violin. Furthermore, Marie displayed her remarkable musical versatility by teaching herself to play the accordion, which she performed with great finesse and beauty.
In a private Graveside Service, Marie will be tenderly laid to rest alongside her cherished family.
