Gwyn Graham, aged 90, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 8, 1934, in Radisson, Saskatchewan, she grew up on a farm, where she developed a lifelong appreciation for rural life.
Gwyn is lovingly remembered by her children Randy (Diana), Calvin (Yvonne), Daryle (Shelley), and Brad (Donna); her grandchildren Ryan (Julie), Tyler (Ashley), Lauren (Brad), Cory (Amanda), Michael (Miranda), Amber (Mike), Jenna (Shane), Jaelynn (Max), and Jordan; and her great-grandchildren Isabelle, Cole, Dalyn, Levi, Brielle, Jackson, Cameron, Parker, Nevaeh, Zackery, Anna, Finn, Owen, Ava, Daxton, Tyler, and Emmett. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter, to whom she was married from 1956 until his passing in 2010; as well as by her parents, Floyd & Nora Cottrell; and her brother, Albert.
A devoted homemaker, Gwyn’s greatest joy was raising her four sons. She loved family camping & fishing trips to northern Saskatchewan and RV road trips with her grandchildren. As the years past, winters spent in Mesa, Arizona became a highlight for Gwyn. She also had a passion for reading, crocheting blankets, and doting on her adopted cat, Gopher.
Gwyn met Walter in Quill Lake, where they married on a crisp November day in 1956. They welcomed their first son, Randy, in 1957 while living in Quill Lake. Shortly after, they moved to Hamlin, Saskatchewan, where Calvin (1958) and Daryle (1960) were born. In 1962, the family settled in Saskatoon, and Brad was born in 1966. Gwyn lived in Saskatoon until 2013 when she relocated to Kelowna, BC, to be closer to family.
A service will be held at a later date in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of BC.
