Frances Francis passed away peacefully, at the age of 93, on December 8, 2023. She has gone to join her husband Howard; her parents; and her siblings Jean and Bill. She will be ever remembered by her children, Diane (Ed), Gary (Lydia), and Steven (Alana); as well as by her grandchildren, Josh, Jennifer, Madison, and Maya.
Frances embarked on her journey to Toronto in her late teens, where she established a remarkable career at Kodak Canada, dedicating herself to the art of film processing in the dark rooms. Beyond her professional pursuits, her passion for cooking filled her with joy. Known for her mastery in the kitchen, she delighted her family with extravagant feasts, particularly during the holidays. Her signature dishes included delightful trifle, delicious pies and cakes; comforting mac & cheese; succulent roast beef; and tender roast pork.
Among her interests, Frances held a fervent devotion to the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs, actively supporting her beloved sports teams. Frances was a passionate, masterful opponent in the card game 120’s. Grand Slam for game, wist to the board!
Though she may have departed, her spirit remains, immortalized through the love she shared and the joy she brought us.
