Obituary of Helen Lillian Daugherty
January 13th 1955 – December 1st 2024
It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helen Lillian Daugherty.
Helen passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on December 1st 2024 in Fort St. John, B.C.
She is survived by her children (Chad, Jessica (Megan), Craig, grandchildren (Hailey, Korbyn), sister (Barb), nephew (John) and niece (Bobbie-Rae). She was predeceased by her mother (Alfreda), father (John), sister (Edna), and nephew (Rocky).
Helen was a warm-hearted soul who shared her love with everyone around her, and prided herself on taking care of the people in her life. She had a generous nature, and looked for the good in everyone. Above all, she was a loving, caring and nurturing mother.
Helen was born and raised in Cranbrook B.C and moved to the Fort. St. John area to be with her grandchildren in 2017. Although she did not overly enjoy the long winters, Helen enjoyed spending the summers outdoors and exploring the North Peace with her family. She loved gardening, visiting friends/family, cheating at Yahtzee, playing crib with friends and painting.
Helen will be deeply missed and forever loved. A celebration of life will be held this following summer in Cranbrook.
