It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Steve Hart.
Steve (66) passed away peacefully at Kootenay Lake Hospital on November 15, 2024. In his final days he was surrounded by his daughters, granddaughters and family.
Born and raised in Toronto, Steve met and married the love of his life Barb (predeceased) left the big city, headed west and eventually settled in beautiful Castlegar. Adapting to Kootenay life, Steve quickly became known as a jack of all trades and a man for the people. His larger-than-life personality, infectious laugh and welcoming demeanor left a lasting impression on many. Steve was “DAD” not just to his own, but to many children in the community as that’s just who he was. Steve will be mourned, loved and remembered for generations to come.
