It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shannon Margaret Smith (Dunatov), who left us on July 14, 2024, at Peach Arch Hospital in Surrey, BC. Shannon was born on October 1, 1958, in Vancouver, BC, the beloved first child of Bill and Marlene Smith.
Shannon is survived by her three cherished children, Marina (Sherri), Kevin, and Nico. She was the loving sister of Tammy, Trevor (Ange) and Troy (Cathy). Shannon’s caring nature and deep compassion for others were evident throughout her life and career.
She found her true calling as a Community Support Worker, where her immense love for people shone through in her dedication and service. Shannon’s kindness, empathy, and unwavering support touched the lives of many, whether family, friends, or acquaintances.
Shannon will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire us.
