At the age of 92, in the loving arms of her husband of 73 years, Rose Weibe left us to be with our Heavenly Father. Born in 1931 to Isaac Kehler and Aganetha Kehler (Klassen).
Rose grew up in Manitoba and was a bit of a self-professed “tomboy” playing baseball with her brothers and spending time with her father working on cars. She helped with the care of her younger siblings and loved them with her whole heart. After moving west and settling in Burnaby BC, Rose taught Sunday School, and her home often hosted many children from the community.
She was a talented artist, baker and quilter. She was never without knitting needles or a crochet hook. She loved creating and donated most of her work to the church. Her strong faith in our Lord was testament to all who knew her. She was welcoming, loving, strong and hardworking. Her infectious smile and sense of humour could always brighten a room.
She is dearly missed by her husband Cecil, sister Liz, son Robert (Peggy), daughter Carol (Ron), grandchildren Krista (Michael), Veronica, Stephanie and great grandchildren Amelia and Isaac.
