Patrick Thomas Wright, aged 70, passed away on August 27, 2024, in New Westminster, British Columbia. Born on April 30, 1954, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Patrick spent his formative years in Eastern Canada before moving to British Columbia.
Patrick is the son of the late Charles (Chuck) Wright and Marie F (Meagher) Wright. Patrick is survived by his brother Frederick John and (Colleen), St. Bruno PQ, nephew Rick and (Lisa), sister Anne (Paul) Millett, Dartmouth NS, nephew Jeff and their grandchildren. Brother Jim, Ottawa ON, (Inga), Toronto ON, nephew Michael, niece Katheryn, nephew Matthew.
He is also survived by his wife Elizabeth, Chilliwack BC, children Hayley Lane Wright, Debby (Joel) deVries, Chilliwack BC, grandchildren Hailey (Austin), Vernon BC, Brandon (Montana), White Rock BC, Matthew, Dylan, Darien, Kaylee. Leanne (Jason) deQuadros, Abbotsford BC, grandchildren Jacinda, Caleb. Jennifer Victor, Chilliwack BC, grandchildren Alayna, Micah, Jase. Dennis (Veronica) de Wilde, Chilliwack BC, grandchildren Tiffany, Andrea. Jonathan de Wilde (Kelsey McCurdy), Chilliwack BC.
Patrick was predeceased by brothers Michael and Charles, and nephew Michael.
An interment service for Patrick was held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 5, at Vedder View Cemetery, located at 44675 Watson Road in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Following the interment, a lunch, service and celebration of life took place at the Evangelical Church at 9391 College Street in Chilliwack, British Columbia. These events brought together family and friends to honour his life and legacy.
Arrangements were handled by Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 3070 275A Street In Aldergrove, British Columbia, which provided support and guidance to Patrick’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
