It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Aurelio Diego Campanella at the Abbotsford General Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends.
Born in Winnipeg to Calogero and Anna Campanella. Aurelio was their second child.
From a very young age, Aurelio had a passion for art winning second place in a Canadian competition at the age of twelve for the painting of The Great Canadian Grizzly Bear. Aurelio was inspired to create an incredible portfolio of drawings, paintings, animal antler carvings, and his greatest work of all the soap stone carving of The Sea to Sky Lady.
Predeceased is Aurelio’s father Calogero, Aurelio is survived by his mother Anna, his daughter Marlaina Bear Campanella, four brothers Daniele, Claudio, Roberto, and Giuseppe and wives and children.
The family would like to say a special thank you to The Abbotsford Cancer Care unit for the exceptional care given to Aurelio during this difficult time. Thank you to Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services for the funeral services.
