Arthur Andres Obituary
Sadly, on December 4th, 2023, Art Andres passed away at the age of 82.
Art lived the majority of his life (along with Gail) in the Fawcett/Flatbush area. While he had many jobs and businesses over the years, his first love was driving trucks. This work enabled Art to travel across Western Canada and into the Arctic where he made many acquaintances and friends along the way. His infectious smile love for “coffee talk” is something that will be missed by all who knew him.
He is fondly remembered by his children Brad (Janice), Chris (Leona) and Angela (Colin), his brother Erwin (Linda) Andres and sister Iris (Dennis) Kerik. Art and Gail had eight grandchildren – Zachary, Eric, Quentin (Abigail), Sheldon, Nathan, Mackenzie, Juliet and Patrick.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Art at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Fawcett Community Hall. Everyone who knew Art or Gail are welcome to join us and share tales and stories of your interactions with Art over the years.
In lieu of flowers, Art wanted memorial donations to be made to the Fawcett Senior Citizen’s Club, Box 124 Fawcett Alberta, T0G 0Y0. This organization was an important part of both his and Gail’s lives the local community.
The family wishes to send a special thank-you to the staff at the Westlock Continuing Care Centre for all their dedication and support to Art in the nearly 3 years that he spent with them.
