On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, Dan Kobylnyk of Vegreville, Alberta passed away at the age of 89 years.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Janet; one son Rick (Amanda); grandson Michael; one sister Lassie (Roland) Ewaniuk; nephew Darren (Courtney) Ewaniuk along with their family; nieces Christine (Peter) Wellsman and Debbie (Bob) Race along with their families. He was predeceased by his parents John and Anne Kobylnyk; two sisters Joanne (Peter) Andrishak and Mary (Paul) Ruzycki; and niece Patricia Andrishak.
A Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church (5705-51St.) in Vegreville, Alberta with Basilian Fathers officiating. Interment to follow in the Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Holy Trinity Parish – Vegreville” or “Heart & Stroke Foundation.”
The family would like to express a very special thanks to the staff of the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital for the compassionate care given to Dan.
