He is survived by his daughter, Melinda Stephanie Gladue of Beaver Lake; son, Mark Aaron Gladue of Beaver Lake; grandson, Jerome Blake Gerard Gladue; mother of his children, Marie Tillie Gladue of Big Mountain, Arizona; foster father, Joy Nielsen of Tacoma, Washington; 4 sisters & 3 brothers, Beverly (Lloyd) Jackson, Rose Marie Cartwright, Clara, Kurtis (Joyce), Terry (Margaret), Anthony & Lynda (Jesse); half-siblings, Irvin, Gabriel (Candace) & Jerry (Jean); numerous nieces & nephews. Vernon was predeceased by his grandparents, Pierre & Louise Gladue; parents, Gabriel Gladue & Martha Boucher; foster mother, Vonda Nielsen of Tacoma, Washington; sister, Karen; 3 brothers, Robert, Bruce Favel & Darcy; nephew & niece Mathew & Shelby. A Wake will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2023 (leaving Grace Gardens at 10:00 a.m.) at Beaver Lake Multi-Purpose Building, Beaver Lake Cree Nation, Alberta A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Beaver Lake Multi-Purpose Building, Beaver Lake Cree Nation, Alberta, with interment in Beaver Lake Cree Nation Cemetery, Beaver Lake Cree Nation, Alberta.
