On November 15, 2023, Sonia Lana Cardinal of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 49 years. She is survived by her 2 daughters & 3 sons Danielle, Brandon (Angela), Ricky, Linda & Stanley; siblings, Jacqueline, Corddel, Harley, Joanne (Devon), Wayne (Sharlene), Adam (Shawnee) & Merle (Valerie); father of her children, Burton (Chets) Ward; special friend, Maryann McGilvery; numerous aunts, uncles & cousins. Sonia was predeceased by her daughter, Brittany Kaylene Cardinal; father & mother, Daniel “Big Dan” & Florence “Linda” Cardinal; grandparents, Stanley & Lena Cardinal, Myrtle (Wayne) Houle; siblings, Bridgette, Twila, Merle, Clinton, Louanna & Baby James; nieces & nephews, Shaun, Tommy Lee, Jhevon & Sage; uncles, Pipe, Rene, Albert, Peter, Kevin, Roland & Anthony. A Wake will be held on Saturday (leaving Grace Gardens at 2:00 p.m.) & Sunday, November 25 & 26 at Onchaminahos School, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Onchaminahos School, Saddle Lake, with interment in United Church Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
