On July 3, 2024, Mr. Melvin Labrie of Vegreville, Alberta, formerly of St. Paul, Alberta, passed away at the age of 81 years. He will be forever remembered & missed by his loving wife, Brenda; 2 sons, Richard (Christine) & Ryan (Jodi); 2 daughters, Darlene (Gordon) Smereka & Sandra (Randal) Labrie; 2 stepsons, Chuck Girard & Chris (Candi) Girard; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Lorraine Belland; brother, Brian (Germaine) Labrie; Brenda’s 2 brothers, 1 sister & their spouses; numerous nieces & nephews. Melvin was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd & Helen Labrie; brother, Ken; brother-in-law, Roger Belland; & son-in-law, Dennis Schwitz. As per Melvin’s wishes, no formal funeral will be held & cremation has taken place. If desired, donations may be made to Haying in the 30s (Cancer Support Society) ℅ 5626 51 Street, St. Paul AB T0A 3A1.
