Jacquelyn’s Obituary
Our loving mother and wife, Jacquelyn Kim Lacey, passed away on November 28th, 2023, after a lifelong battle with her health. Jackie was 52 years old and was surrounded by many loving family members when she joined her loving Heavenly Father.
Jackie was born to Sharon Watchel and Wayne Hindman on March 6th, 1971, in Barrhead, AB. While she resided most of her life in Slave Lake, she also lived in Drayton Valley, AB for a time while she was young. Jackie met her husband Warren in 1987, when he backed into her car and drove away, which turned out to be a very expensive accident for Warren.
Jackie loved her dogs and cats, family holidays, and spending time with family. She looked forward to motorcycle trips with Warren in the summers. A favorite memory of hers was a trip she and Alexandra made to Salt Lake City, to attend a conference at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints Temple when Alex was in high school.
Jackie’s greatest joy and passion in life was her family. She loved looking after her home, her garden and pets. Her greatest joy came from her “girls”- Laurie and Alex- she shared their accomplishments and lives with everyone. She loved being a mom and a wife to Warren, they were her world.
Jackie was an integral part of her church community, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she spent many of hours dedicating her time to genealogy. Now that Jackie has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Jackie’s physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her, free of physical ailments
Jackie joins her maternal and paternal grandparents, her son, and many other family members in Heaven. She is survived by her husband Warren and two daughters Laurie (Dillon) and Alexandra (Macey) as well as her parents, and many other loving family members.
